Weren’t you always told that careers in the skilled trades were seasonal? Everyone in construction gets laid off in winter, right? UM…Sorry, No, that would be wrong. Skilled Trades are always in demand, every day of every year. Check out these stats from December, 2019:
The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services reported on 1/24/20 that Ohio added 9,800 new jobs in the month of December. Jobs gained in Construction and Manufacturing combined to total over 4,500 of the 9,800. 45% of all jobs added IN DECEMBER, were skilled trades jobs. There were 3,400 jobs added in construction and 1,100 jobs in manufacturing.
